Using the tools
3DFile provides free tools to view and convert 3D model files in your web browser. You may use them for personal and commercial work. You are responsible for having the right to open and convert the files you use with them.
Your files
Your files are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us, so we do not store, own or claim any rights to them or to the files the converters produce.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are. 3D formats differ in what they can store, and a conversion may lose information such as materials, textures, animation or scale. Check converted files before relying on them, for example before sending a model to a 3D printer or into production.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, 3DFile is not liable for any loss arising from use of the tools, including lost or damaged data, failed prints or wasted materials.
Open-source software
The tools are built on open-source libraries, each under its own license: three.js (MIT) draws and converts the models, rhino3dm (MIT) reads Rhino files, OpenSKP (MIT) reads SketchUp files, and occt-import-js with Open CASCADE Technology (LGPL-2.1) reads STEP files. The LGPL libraries are served unmodified, as published at github.com/kovacsv/occt-import-js, where their source code is available.
Changes
These terms may change as the service changes. The date above shows when they were last updated.
