Your files stay on your device

3DFile opens, displays and converts 3D models entirely inside your web browser. The files you select or drop are read by code running on your own device; they are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else, and we never see their contents, names or sizes. Converted files are created in your browser and saved straight to your device.

Network requests

Loading the site fetches its pages, scripts, styles and fonts from our host and from no one else. Everything the tools need to read and write models, including the decoder for Draco-compressed glTF files, is served by this site; opening a model sends nothing about it anywhere.

Storage on your device

Your browser remembers the theme you choose and, if you pick one, your language. These preferences stay in your browser's local storage and a cookie, and are not used to identify you.

Hosting and logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes connection information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the service. These logs record which pages were requested, not anything about the files you open.

Changes

If the way the site handles information changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change with it.
